SYNOPSIS:
A modernisation of the classic western in which the Cowboys are a local amateur soccer team, the Indians run a nearby Tandoori restaurant and the bandits are a group of menacing thugs led by a maniac known simply as 'American Bob'.
Irvine Welsh, the author of Trainspotting, is teaming up with Angry Badger Pictures and Stealth Media Group to make The Magnificent Eleven – a very loose remake of the classic western The Magnificent Seven.
In the 1960 screen favourite - itself a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai – a diverse bunch of western gunfighters protect a Mexican village from bandits.
But in this version, The Magnificent Eleven, the heroes are a Sunday League soccer team – which reluctantly bands together to save an Indian restaurant from local thugs demanding protection money.

CAST:
Paul Barber - who starred as Denzil in Only Fools & Horses and Horse in The Full Monty - plays the team's trainer. And Hollywood veteran, Robert Vaughn (The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Bullitt and last surviving member of the original Magnificent Seven), will play the villain, American Bob. Additional cast include Keith Allen and Phillip Rhys.
