‘Awaiting’ cleans up at Horror Film Festival Awards

horrorant2_b2Cleaning up at this year’s Horrorant Film Festival ‘FRIGHT NIGHTS’ Awards in Greece, was none other than our very own film Awaiting.

If winning the award for Best Picture wasn’t exciting enough, Awaiting?also swooped in and claimed the title for Best Director (Mark Murphy) and Best Male Actor (Tony Curran-?Gladiator, Sons of Anarchy).

Mark Murphy posted an acceptance speech?on YouTube expressing his delight?at?winning these?awards.

Taking out three core awards at such a festival; and in the same month the film had its world premiere at the Fantasporto International Film Festival, Portugal, is truly an impeccable achievement for Awaiting.

That said, such achievements were of no surprise to many. Entitling Awaiting as ?one of the most gripping thrillers of the year?, was not all Roger Crow had to say about the film in his review on Huffington Post. Crow went on to state ?I like thrillers that take their time and avoid the obvious clich?s. Fast cutting and overly stylistic lighting can detract from the finished movie. Above all I like a cracking tale well told. Awaiting?ticks all of those boxes?.

An explosive start for Awaiting and all involved in this award winning picture, the future can?t help but look prosperous and bright.
